Why GoatHut.com
Let me tell you a bit about our last name "Geishuettner".
The word "Geiss" means goat or nanny-goat, "huette"
means hut. In German, if you put "er" at the end of a
place, you are a person from there. (If are from
Hamburg, you are a Hamburger!) Therefore, we are the
people from the goat hut or goat hut people! Now it gets
even more funny. My name is Heidi ...you know...the
story of the little girl from the Alps with her goat-herder
grandfather! Too bad my husband's name isn't Peter!
Also, let us not forget my mother raises angora goats! So
here I am living in Austria with all my little kids (baby
goats...ha ha). How ironic can you get?
A new look.
I’ve recently been put in charge of our website at work.
By work I mean the Jugendheim. I’m not teaching
anymore, well just one course, shhhh! If you’ve seen the
Jugendheim website it’s not the greatest. I am also
not the greatest web designer, so I thought I’d try out
some new software and practice with this site. Once I
figure it all out, I’ll get to work on the Jugendheim site. I
don’t want my boss to be disappointed because I
didn’t do a good job.
Gruenau in spring
You must not know too much, or be too
precise or scientific about birds and trees and
flowers and water-craft; a certain free margin,
and even vagueness - perhaps ignorance,
credulity - helps your enjoyment of these
things...”  ~Walt Whitman
